Student Handmade Oboe Reed Three-Pack
Three handmade oboe reeds, at a quantity discount. My student reeds are great for oboists who are ready for a step up from mass-produced commercial reeds. The tone is rounder, and there is a bit of resistance to encourage proper breathing and embouchure development. Each reed is made to order, just for you.
The details:
• Easy response.
• Pleasant tone – not too dark, but not too bright either, will blend well with an ensemble.
• Stable in pitch at A=440, crowing “C” octaves.
• Available in medium-soft, medium, or medium-hard strength, according to your preference.
• Measures ~around~ 70mm finished, just depending on pitch, etc.
I use the following materials:
• Hand-gouged cane on a Hodge/Reeds 'n Stuff gouging machine.
• Shape is RDG -1.
• A brass staple with synthetic cork.
Each reed is sterilized in 70% isopropyl alcohol before mailing.
